Nancy T. Budraitis, V.P., Director of Communications
Nancy possesses a strong background in professional writing, copy editing, marketing, promotion and communications.
Nancy Budraitis brings to Big Dog Communications over thirty years of experience as a marketing and public relations professional for national business publications, local businesses and professionals. After earning a bachelor’s degree in English with a concentration in news feature writing, Nancy began her career as a promotional writer at Harcourt Brace Jovanovich Trade Magazine Publishing in New York. She caught the excitement of managing crises in the news during the Tylenol contamination scare, when she coordinated press coverage with the Food and Drug Packaging News editor and then CBS science editor John Tesch. Her commitment to consumer and workplace safety was further developed as the marketing manager for the Occupational Safety Division of the Global Equipment Company through 1990, where she became an expert in communicating workplace hazards and safety issues.
From 1991 until the present, as a partner in Big Dog Communications, Nancy has continued to communicate business trends, employee issues and corporate strategies as a freelance marketing writer for FORTUNE Magazine Special Products Group. In coordination with Peter’s design services, she has supplied communications services to a wide range of local companies and professionals including the Committee to Re-elect Judge Richard J. McCord, Harry Schneider, MD, Call Compliance, Inc., Automatic Industries and many others. Additionally, she provides production and office management services to the Peter M. Budraitis Photography division of Big Dog Communications, Inc.
From the national arena of FORTUNE Magazine to our neighboring businesses, Nancy offers a host of experience in communicating an extraordinarily broad range of topics. More and more, however, she has realized she prefers to work close to home. “Providing communications services to our own community is the position I have worked towards all my life. I have the background and the motivation. Most of all, I have the heart.”
